This Privacy Notice refers to personal data, which is defined as information concerning any living person (a natural person who hereafter will be called the Data Subject) that is not already in the public domain.

At Compact Plant Sales, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with high quality, nearly new, used plant and machinery. Personal Data
Compact Plant Sales uses the information collected from you to provide quotations, hire services, make telephone contact and to email you information which the company believes may be of interest to you and your business. In making initial contact you consent to Compact Plant Sales maintaining a marketing dialogue with you until you either opt out (which you can do at any stage) or we decide to desist in promoting our services. Compact Plant Sales may occasionally also act on behalf of its members in the capacity of data processor. When working as a data processor, Compact Plant Sales will work hard to ensure that the work is fully compliant with UK GDPR.
Some personal data may be collected about you from the forms and surveys you complete, from records of our correspondence and phone calls and details of your visits to our website, including but not limited to, personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not sell or broker your data, although coincidentally there may be times when your information could be contained in data that Compact Plant Sales have coincidently purchased from a third-party list broker.
For the purposes of sales, marketing and certain other services Compact Plant Sales uses third party suppliers, who for the purposes of UK GDPR are processors. Where these suppliers are not based within the UK, such as Spotler, data is processed on the basis of signed Standard Contract Clauses and/or other safeguards.

Compact Plant Sales will process personal data during the duration of our business or hire contract services. We will keep this data for as long as we are able to market to you and if you withdraw your consent or opt-out of marketing communications, we will keep your contact details only to ensure that we do not contact you again for marketing purposes.

Data is held in the United Kingdom and also held outside the UK on Google Drive and Spotler who have robust GDPR compliance and breach notification process for the processing of personal data.

At your request Compact Plant Sales can confirm what information it holds about you and how it is processed.

To access what personal data is held, identification will be required
Compact Plant Sales will accept the following forms of ID when information on your personal data is requested: a copy of your driving license, passport, birth certificate and a utility bill not older than three months. A minimum of one photographic ID listed above, and a supporting document is required. If Compact Plant Sales is dissatisfied with the quality, further information may be sought before personal data can be released.

Complaints
